Excellent, Spontaneous, Professional are some of the words to describe Gloria Babarinde. An award-winning broadcaster, Events Compere/Host, Corporate Communications Executive, Author, Public Speaker and Diction Coach.
Discovering the Power of the Microphone
A graduate of English Language from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun State, she began her career in media on Radio in 2014 as a show and news assistant on Radio Continental now Max FM on the popular Breakfast Show 'The Continental breakfast Show'. As part of her duties, she produced, researched and contributed to content for the daily show working alongside Daniel Akpata and Ayo Makinde.
Furthermore, in radio broadcasting, during her National Youth Service Year, Gloria co-hosted the “Spell and Sound Game Show” on 93.5, Premier FM and “Campus Groove”, a student’s spotlight and youth empowerment show, both she hosted as a volunteer radio broadcaster for 1 year and 3 months. Gloria also hosted “Gloria’s Grid” (the afternoon belt of transmission on Africa Tech Radio which is Africa’s first online technology radio) from 2020-2022.

Over time, Gloria has become a respected voice in her industry, driving powerful conversations alongside national and international government officials, thought leaders, and industry leaders.
Gloria has had the privilege of interviewing the Honourable Commissioner of Tourism, Arts and Culture, Lagos State, Mrs Uzamat Akinbile Yussuf , Stephanie Busari of CNN, the Founder of Stanbic IBTC, Atedo Peterside (CON), the Former Chairperson, board of directors, Access Bank Nigeria, Dr. (Mrs.) Ajoritsedere Awosika OON, MFR,MNI, Fela Durotoye, Tara Fela- Durotoye, Philanthropist and Chairman, Cubana Group, Chief (Dr) Obi Cubana, Managing Director, Procter and Gamble Nigeria, Mokutima Ajileye, South African Entrepreneur and Writer, Vusi Thembekwayo, Uti Nwachukwu, Tunde Kelani, Chike amongst so many others.
Gloria has built a notable career in broadcasting over the years, which has led to numerous awards and honours. In 2021, she won Nigeria’s 25 under 25 Awards for Media and Communications. In 2024, Gloria was listed as 100 most inspiring women in Africa by Glocal Unity. In 2026, Gloria was nominated for the ECOWAS Innovative Excellence Awards recognising her contributions to driving innovation, creativity and transformative impact across the ECOWAS region.
The Quintessential Host
As an Event Host, Gloria who is now popularly known as The Gloria Babs and The Quintessential Host, has built a strong reputation for anchoring high-level conversations and leading impactful experiences across diverse industries.
Over the years, she has brought her presence and professionalism to a wide range of platforms, both corporate and institutional, including the Norrenberger Group Office Opening in Lagos, Union Bank International Women’s Day Celebrations (2024 & 2026), Access Bank Womenpreneur Pitchathon (Season 6), and the Nigerian Stock Exchange Mobilist Public Discourse.
Her portfolio also includes industry-defining engagements such as the Nigeria Customer Service Index Media Parley, the Nigerian Insurers Association 26th Chairman Investiture, multiple editions of the Nigeria Energy event, West African Insurance Companies Association Conference 2025 as well as the Africa Insurance Women Association (AIWA 2024).
Gloria has consistently hosted premium corporate gatherings including the Rand Merchant Bank Client Appreciation Dinner (2024 & 2025), the Financial Market Dealers Association Annual Conference (2025), the Lagos Finance Conference (2022 & 2023), the Union Bank Employee Recognition Awards (2023-2025), Innovate AI Conference Lagos (2024-2026). She has also anchored large-scale, high-energy events such as the FinTribe Finance Fair (2023–2025), the UBER Awards (2023–2025), the Billionaires Realtors Group Excellence Awards (2025), and the NHEF University Advancement Program Launch (2026). Lait Media
With a Masters in Corporate Communications from Rome Business School, Rome, Gloria founded Lait Media and through it, she extends her expertise into training and consultancy, supporting individuals, executives, and organisations in building strong, effective communication and media capabilities.
Her work focuses on helping corporate leaders and professionals develop world-class communication skills, enabling them to speak with clarity, confidence, and influence in high-stakes environments. She also works closely with growing and emerging businesses, guiding them in establishing and strengthening their media presence, while positioning their brands for visibility and impact.
In addition, Gloria partners with organisations across various industries to design and build effective in-house media teams, equipping them with the structure, tools, and strategy required for long-term success. Through these initiatives, she continues to empower people and businesses to communicate better, show up stronger, and connect more meaningfully with their audiences.
Sounding Right With Doc Glo
Sounding Right With Doc Glo is a communication development platform designed to help individuals refine their speech, improve clarity, and communicate with confidence in both personal and professional environments.
Led by Gloria, the platform delivers structured training in diction, pronunciation, grammar, and effective expression, equipping participants with practical tools to speak with confidence, authority, and impact. This she has been doing for 5 years and has helped over 5000 individuals better their communication. In September 2025. Gloria graduated the first cohort of her intensive 2-day beginners’ masterclass on “How to Talk and People Will Listen’, garnering over 80 participants across 10 countries tries of the world.
RAISE Initiative
Driven by a passion for effective communication and youth development, Gloria founded Raising Articulate Inspiring Speakers for Excellence (R.A.I.S.E) — an initiative dedicated to developing confident, articulate, and purpose-driven speakers. Through R.A.I.S.E, she creates opportunities for individuals to build strong communication skills, gain confidence, and use their voices as tools for influence and impact.
As an extension of this vision, she established the Gloria Babarinde Public Speaking Prize, a platform that celebrates excellence in public speaking, recognises emerging talent, and inspires a culture of confident expression among young people. Held on her 30th birthday, 12th of November, 2025, she gathered over 32 secondary schools to compete for the highly coveted ‘Gloria Babarinde’s Public Speaker of the Year” with 13-year old Eguakhide Cassey taking home the grand prize.
Through RAISE Initiative Gloria is creating opportunities for individuals, particularly young people, to build strong communication skills, gain confidence, and use their voices as tools for influence and impact. The initiative contributes to global development priorities by advancing quality education, promoting gender inclusion, and equipping individuals with essential life and career skills, in line with key Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs 4, 5, 8, and 10).
CSR & Personal Life
In May 2024, Gloria hosted a free virtual event for up and coming event hosts and presenters tagged “Event Hosting 101” for beginners with over 350 participants in attendance.
Gloria’s commitment to excellence and her contributions within communication and leadership spaces have earned her recognition on reputable platforms, including the Global Leaders Award from Dacians Conference, TMS Lagos BLAZE Award for her remarkable contribution to media, public speaking, and society at large.and Business Day Woman of the Week in May 2024 among others.
Outside of her professional engagements, Gloria leads a community of media professionals through spiritual growth via Pray with Gloria, a monthly meeting for media professionals. She enjoys connecting with people, continuous learning, and creative expression through music. She also places strong value on family and meaningful relationships, which continue to shape her journey.
